GETTING TO BELIZE
Given our proximity to North and South America, as well as the Caribbean, getting to Belize is easy. Less than two hours by air from any major US southern gateway (Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, and Miami). Belize currently hosts five major airlines, that serve Belize from the United States and neighboring Central American countries. These carriers are: American, Continental, Delta, Grupo TaCA, and US air. These major airlines have daily direct flights from US and Central American gateways, all coordinated with European connections. There is no direct flight from Mexico, but there are flights to Cancun with a 6 hour bus trip to the Belize Northern Border, down to the town of Corozal, then you can catch a puddle jumper flight to anywhere in Belize. |
The Philip Goldson International Airport (BZ) is the main port of entry into Belize. From Belize City, you have different choices of transportation, depending on where your travel destination takes you. Most visitors reach their final destination either by taking a puddle jumper flight, or a boat across lower Chetumal Bay. Locals refer to passenger boats as "skiffs" and their smaller canoe-like vessels as "dories".

The following is a checklist for you to use when traveling to Belize. The checklist, is to ensure that your journey will be a smooth one. Though there are some logistics involved, we can help work out the details for you.

- Reserve your room, to ensure availability.
- Book your flight from your closest "home airport" to the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City.
- Contact us regarding your flight and arrival information. We can help you arrange your island transfer from the International Airport to the island. We can make the reservation for you with a 10% savings. We do not assess a booking fee for doing this, it's simply a service we provide for our guests. This must be done at least 72 hours prior to your arrival.
- Should you decide to make your own transfer arrangements between Belize City and San Pedro, please provide the details of your arrival to our office no later than 72 hours for our guests. This must be done at least 72 hours prior to your arrival.

- You arrive at the property, and get checked into your room.
